Studio Notes
In the Studio
I design each silhouette here in Los Angeles and oversee every production run. My goal is texture that feels lived in, not manufactured. I focus on spacing, spike rhythm, and how the lash moves in real life.
Material Check
I choose premium, cruelty free synthetic fibers for their lightness and memory. They hold shape under lights and after multiple wears while staying soft against the lid.
Band Work
The band makes or breaks the fit. I test different widths and flex until the band disappears on the eye and the lash lays naturally from inner to outer corner.
Behind the Drop
I keep releases small on purpose. Limited runs let me control quality and refine details based on real feedback. If something sells out, it means people are wearing it in unexpected ways.
How I Test
Every style gets tested in studio light and in the unfiltered night. That means camera closeups and subway runs. If it survives both, it earns a place in the collection.
Care Tip
Remove glue gently, clean with an oil free remover on a cotton swab, and store flat. Treat the band with respect and the lash will reward you with many wears.
Packaging Note
Minimal packaging. Reusable trays protect shape and help extend life. The box is designed to keep the lash safe without excess material.
Collaborations
I work with creators whose work speaks the same raw language. If you are a creator interested in collaborating, send a note and include your handles and a brief concept.
What’s Next
I am experimenting with a heavier cluster for editorial looks and a featherweight band version for daily wear. Sign up to the Kumiko Club for first access and restock alerts.
