Kumiko began as a late night idea in Los Angeles. I came to this city from abroad with a suitcase of dreams and a small obsession with texture. I wanted lashes that felt like a personal signature, not a mass produced afterthought. What started as experimenting on kitchen counters became a single minded pursuit to design lashes that read raw, tactile, and unmistakably human.

Every style is imagined in my studio and taken through a careful quality check before it reaches you. I personally design each silhouette and inspect every pair to make sure it meets the standards I set. The result is a small batch edit of looks that move with you, hold their shape under lights, and still feel feather light on the lid. I keep the operation intentionally small so I can protect the details that matter, from spacing and spike rhythm to the slimness of the band.

Kumiko is Asian owned and run by one person. That identity shapes how we work and what we care about. We value honest materials, reusable design, and a process that respects craft over noise.
